KIS requires parents to attend an information session before applying. During the session, parents will have the opportunity to tour the school facilities and receive a detailed explanation of the classes, programs, and educational philosophy. Please see the schedule below for admissions information for each KIS department.
We also accept applications for enrollment in the middle of the school year.

Information about High School Admissions
As a general rule, we only accept applications for admission to Grade 11 to start in April.
New 11th graders (2nd year of high school)
*Grade 12 - KIS does not normally accept applications for admission to Grade 12. However, we will consider students who are already attending a high school that offers a Diploma Programme (DP) and whose DP subjects match those offered in the KIS Diploma Programme.

Visa Sponsorship
KIS welcomes students from all over the world, both domestically and internationally. We also provide support for international students applying for student visas, with experienced staff providing thorough assistance from application to immigration procedures. Please note that visa support is only available to students who will be residing in KIS student dormitories or students who have already made accommodation arrangements with their family or other guardians. The final issuance of student visas is at the discretion of the Japanese government (Immigration Services Agency), and KIS does not guarantee issuance. Visa approval may take several months, so if you wish to enroll at KIS as an international student, please apply as early as possible.
