| Duties Teaching Japanese to non-native Japanese speakers from first grade of elementary school to third grade of high school Plan and implement engaging and effective Japanese language lessons in line with the IB curriculum framework. Improve students' Japanese language ability by developing the four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking in a balanced manner Differentiate instruction according to learners' Japanese language ability and utilize a variety of teaching methods, materials, and evaluation methods. Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate Japanese language education into KIS's inquiry-based, interdisciplinary curriculum Conduct formative and summative assessments aligned with IB standards and provide timely and constructive feedback Prepare report cards and perform other necessary paperwork and reporting tasks. Actively participate in school-wide events, meetings, and professional development opportunities to contribute to the development of the KIS community. Maintain good communication with students, parents and colleagues to support student learning and well-being Build trusting relationships with parents, address concerns sincerely through two-way communication, and keep them informed about student progress and school activities. Qualifications Obtaining a Bachelor's Degree Have a qualification in Japanese language education (or a qualification in a related field) Experience in teaching Japanese is desirable Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment where everyone can learn with confidence |
