Welcome to KIS!

熊本インターナショナルスクールは、2003年に幼児部を設立しました。
現在は、初等部と中等部が加わり、2025年には高等部を開設します。

KISは、生徒たちが21世紀の複雑で多様な世界で活躍できる力を身につけることを目指しており、そのために必要な知識やスキルの習得を支援しています。
生徒は、学業においてだけでなく、精神的・感情的に成長し、社会的なスキルを磨くことも重要視しています。さらに、KISでは、真のバイリンガル教育を提供し、生徒たちが両言語で自信を持ってコミュニケーションを取れるようになることを目指しています。本校のIBプログラムは英語で実施されており、加えて厳格な日本語の国語教育と中国語（マンダリン）の指導も行っています。

Throwback to our Summer School 2025 ✨ For 3 days, students from KIS, @kispicasso, and beyond joined us for a program filled with English, arts, science, and adventure. We balanced learning with fun which included field trips, arts and crafts, and daily English lessons. Now, as we officially begin Term 2 tomorrow, we carry that same energy and excitement into the new school term. 🌍✨ Celebrating Learning, Creativity, and Community at KIS ✨🌍 Our PYP students amazed us during World Culture Day, where they transformed their Unit of Inquiry into creative projects that showcased cultures from around the globe. Parents joined us to explore, learn, and celebrate together. 🎭 At noon, our young learners proudly presented KIS’s very first school production, Shakespeare’s The Tempest. From stage presence to storytelling, their hard work and teamwork brought this timeless play to life.
