Welcome to KIS!
熊本インターナショナルスクールは、2003年に幼児部を設立しました。
現在は、初等部と中等部が加わり、2025年には高等部を開設します。
KISは、生徒たちが21世紀の複雑で多様な世界で活躍できる力を身につけることを目指しており、そのために必要な知識やスキルの習得を支援しています。
生徒は、学業においてだけでなく、精神的・感情的に成長し、社会的なスキルを磨くことも重要視しています。さらに、KISでは、真のバイリンガル教育を提供し、生徒たちが両言語で自信を持ってコミュニケーションを取れるようになることを目指しています。本校のIBプログラムは英語で実施されており、加えて厳格な日本語の国語教育と中国語（マンダリン）の指導も行っています。

Our students have been preparing for upcoming music performances, strengthening their mathematical thinking through fractions, word problems, and angles, while engaging in guided learning that encourages curiosity, confidence, and collaboration.

Some students travelled with KIS staff, while others attended together with their parents as part of this school opportunity. Throughout the event, students were able to speak directly with university representatives, explore a wide range of academic pathways, and gain a clearer understanding of the opportunities available to IB students in Japan and around the world.
This experience encouraged students to look beyond the classroom and begin imagining the many possibilities ahead of them. By asking questions, discovering new options, and connecting with universities, our students took an important step in thinking about their futures with confidence, curiosity, and ambition.

From sketching ideas to painting props, every brushstroke reflects the creativity, collaboration, and dedication of our students. These behind-the-scenes moments remind us that a successful production is built not only on what happens on stage, but also on the countless hours of preparation that happen beforehand.
A special thank you goes to Amoona-sensei and the Art Club for their invaluable support in designing and creating many of the props that will help transform our stage. Their artistic talent, enthusiasm, and willingness to collaborate have made a tremendous contribution to this production.
