An essential part of the IB Diploma Programme core, our TOK Exhibition invites students to explore how knowledge shapes and influences their lives.
After engaging with the diverse themes and concepts from the TOK syllabus, students selected a knowledge question they found meaningful and chose three real-world objects to illustrate their ideas. These objects show the powerful connections between personal experience and the ways we create, use, and evaluate knowledge.

Our Grade 11 students spent the day at the Amakusa Aizu Research Station, engaging in hands-on scientific investigation to support their DP Biology Internal Assessments.

Through field sampling, environmental observation, and collaborative data collection, students deepened their understanding of real-world scientific methods. This trip also marked the start of a cross-disciplinary science project, encouraging our young scientists to think critically, work as a team, and apply classroom knowledge to authentic research environments.

On October 9th, KIS launched the Ready For Grade 1 (RFG1) Program, which facilitates visits from students at Picasso to KIS. This initiative aims to provide an educational experience that helps young learners understand what life is like at KIS. As part of the program, Grade 3 students served as reading buddies to the visiting students, engaging in shared reading sessions. During these interactions, the Grade 3 students assisted their younger peers in recognizing and understanding words they were unfamiliar with, fostering an environment of collaborative learning.
