KIS Graduation Ceremony AY2024-2025: Celebrating Our Graduates
いこうして、ある大切な段階に立ったKISの学生たちの記念すべき日を迎えました。
今年、プライマリーイヤーズプログラム(PYP)から18人、中学校から5人が無事に卒業しました。ご家族や友人、KISのコミュニティと共に、その成長を祝う活動を実施しました。
今年の卒業式では、熊本市長の奥様や、ピカソプレスクール部門の課程統担者、リーダーシップチームの先生方がご参加くださいました。この経験は、学生たちが大きな教育コミュニティの一員であることを志させます。
卒業式は感動の湧く事件でした。PYP卒業生にとっては、中学校という新しい階段に進む第一歩です。中学校卒業生は、次にIBディプロマプログラムという困難ながらもやりがいのあるカリキュラムへと進みます。
家族の方々も、その成長と成果を目撃し、大きな驚きと喜びを感じていました。このような変化の瞬間は、学校とご家庭の強いコミットメントの結果です。

Kumamoto International School (KIS) recently held a heartfelt graduation ceremony, marking an important milestone for both our Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Junior High School students. This year, we proudly celebrated the achievements of 18 PYP graduates and 5 Junior High School graduates, surrounded by their families, friends, and the KIS community.
We were honored to welcome the wife of the Mayor of Kumamoto City, along with distinguished guests, including directors and leadership teachers from our Picasso Preschool division. Their presence added to the significance of the event, reminding us of the broader educational community that supports our students.
The ceremony was filled with emotion as students reflected on their learning journeys and the memories they have created. For our PYP graduates, this moment signifies their transition into Junior High School, where they will continue to grow academically and personally. For our Junior High School graduates, the celebration marks their entry into the rigorous International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in our High School division. As they take on this challenging curriculum, we are confident that they will continue to demonstrate resilience, curiosity, and a commitment to excellence.
Parents beamed with pride, witnessing their children reach this significant milestone. The event served as a powerful reminder of the strong partnerships between families, teachers, and students that make achievements like these possible.
