先週、KISの新しく選出された生徒会メンバーが、初めての公式活動として地域の警察署である託麻交番を訪問しました。この訪問の目的は、地域社会への継続的な奉仕活動、そして本校の生徒を含め通学中の全児童の安全を毎日見守ってくださっていることに対して、感謝の気持ちを直接伝えることでした。
訪問中、生徒たちは警察官の方々に「生徒たちに伝えてほしい安全に関するアドバイスはありますか？」と尋ねました。警察官の皆さんは快くアドバイスを共有してくださり、特に自転車の安全利用について、以下のような大切なポイントを教えてくださいました：
- 自転車に乗るときは必ずヘルメットを着用しましょう。 万が一の事故に備え、自分の身を守るために非常に重要です。
- 道路や歩道では左側を通行しましょう。 歩行者や他の自転車との衝突を避けるためにも、安全な走行が求められます。
- 自転車を離れるときは、必ず施錠しましょう。 たとえ短時間であっても、しっかりと鍵をかけることが大切です。
また、この訪問の特別なハイライトとして、生徒たちはパトカーの中を見学させてもらいました。実際に車内に入るという貴重な体験を通して、警察官の仕事についてより深く学ぶことができ、生徒たちはとても興奮していました。
生徒会は、地域の方々が安心して生活できる環境づくりについて学習し、今後も地域の警察官の方々との交流をさらに築いていくことを楽しみにしています。お忙しい中お時間を割いてくださった警察官の皆様に、改めて感謝申し上げます。
KIS 2025 Student Council’s First Official Act: A Visit to Our Local Police Station
Last week, the newly elected members of the KIS Student Council carried out their first official activity: a visit to the Takuma Police Box, our local police station. The purpose of this visit was to express their heartfelt gratitude for the police officers’ continued service to the community and for keeping all students—including those from KIS—safe on their way to and from school each day.
During the visit, the students asked the officers, “Do you have any safety advice you’d like us to share with our fellow students?” The officers kindly shared several important tips, especially regarding bicycle safety:
- Always wear a helmet when riding a bicycle. It is crucial for protecting yourself in the event of an accident.
- Keep to the left side of the road or sidewalk. This helps prevent collisions with pedestrians or other cyclists and promotes safe riding.
- Be sure to lock your bicycle when leaving it unattended. Even if you’re stepping away for a short time, securing your bike is very important.
As a special highlight of the visit, the students were given the opportunity to explore the inside of a police car. This rare experience allowed them to learn more about the work of police officers, and the students were very excited.
The Student Council is looking forward to continuing to learn about how to help build a safe and supportive community and hopes to further strengthen their relationship with local police officers in the future. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the officers for taking the time to meet with our students despite their busy schedules.
